Seriously good ice cream. Some weird flavors (salted caramel, thai chili, etc) and some more run of the mill types (i had the mint chip). Wish I was in town for a few more days and could have had more of this ice cream. Nice, rich, great flavors, big portions, reasonable price for what you get. I didnt see the location in town by the town green, but was fine with the nice walk through town.

Wish I had more time in town so that I could have sampled the flavors. They were intriguing

The ice cream is good here. Came here because we heard Obama came here. The employees are very nice and will let you try the flavors before buying. The only bad thing is the ice cream was too soft. Felt like it melted. They did have a variety of flavors. And you can buy them in pints.

There we were, waking up in our cozy Bar Harbor B&B and reading the paper, when we saw an article in the Bangor Daily News about embarking on "A taste for ADVENTURE" . There were colorful photos of mouth-watering ice cream and it was a good article, so we put this business into our plan of the day. The shop is a small, unassuming business at the quieter end of Main St, where the residential buildings start to outnumber the businesses and the traffic is somewhat reduced. I tried the Blueberry Basil sorbet, the one pictured in the paper. The blueberry taste came through clearly, although the tartness had been mellowed somewhat by the basil. At first, I was unable to taste the basil and said as much to Linda Parker, the person who was serving me and who also happened to be the owner. "What?! Are you sure?!" she asked as she hurriedly sampled a spoonful and wandered back to the kitchen to check something. She came back and said she could taste the basil, although the strength of the flavor varied from batch to batch. After slowly tasting more of the sorbet, I could imagine I tasted the basil. It was very subtle and the taste was stronger and more real after I swallowed. I also tried the ginger ice cream, which was good but also mild. I definitely enjoyed myself and highly recommend Linda's shop for anyone seeking an adventure for your tastebuds!

Had the dulce de leche and cocoa ice cream (I can't recall the flavor name) in a waffle cone and I can honestly say it was the best ice cream I have ever eaten. Incredibly creamy and rich with just enough flavor. My husband had a scoop of the Belgian chocolate and a scoop of the coconut, which had bits of coconut throughout. Workers were very friendly and pleasant. I know we will end up back during the course of our vacation. Two small waffle cones came to just under $10, considering this is a resort town I think that's a fair price for the quality of the ice cream.

Amazing. I really probably could just leave it at that. Yeah its a little bit expensive, but its Bar Harbor, everything is a little bit expensive. The flavors are all amazing and unique, the White Russian flavor is really awesome, as is the Blackstrap Molasses Banana, but they also have well done "normal" flavors if you have less adventurous ones with you. The best ice cream in Bar Harbor by miles and miles.

Price range was similar to most ice cream shop. Located at quieter end of Bar Harbor. Cute place. Ice cream flavor was very mild. Cookies and creme: The Oreo cookies were very mushy and blended in with the ice cream.. Not much of a chocolate taste.. And slightly freezer burned in taste and texture. The young woman there was not very friendly. Wasn't sure if she was having a bad day. That aside, the ice cream isn't all that good.

Anybody's Guess Too early to decide if this business is worth patronage or not. However, I can say that we stopped in yesterday because my wife craved something frozen and tart on a hot evening (89 F). So, she ordered a 1-scoop cup of a berry sorbet - boysenberry or blackberry, I think. Anyway, "1 scoop" was three golf ball-sized scoops for $3.75 plus tax, not excessive for a tourist trap like Bar Harbor. Unhappily, the stuff wasn't tart but rather overly sweet, and, according to her, wasn't much better than frozen, colored ice with a bit of flavoring. Within half a block in a town of short blocks, she'd tossed it into the trash. Moral of the story: Sample before you buy here.

Amazing!! Try the flight -four smaller scoops in a sundae boat. Especially good if you have a hard time choosing amongst all the great flavors. Not sure about sharing, it's big enough, but I still didn't want to! Freshly made, soft, creamy and wonderful ice cream. This location is good, too, less crowded and we easily found parking right across the street.

If you are in or near Bar Harbor do not miss this ice-cream place! Some of the best ice-cream I have ever had! Hard to choose what flavor after trying a few I ended up with the peanut butter and FI had Nutella - both were amazing. I make my own ice-cream at home so I am picky about it and this place will not disappoint! Great service, great choice of flavors and delicious ice-cream.

I'd call myself an ice cream connoisseur. I mean, it IS my favorite food group. So when we heard of all the unique flavors this shop carried, we had to try it out. Being a huge Harry Potter fan, of course I had to try the Butterbeer flavor. I wasn't hugely impressed because it mostly tasted like root beer, but overall it was still a yummy cup of ice cream. They definitely have a plethora of unusual/unique flavors! Cute little shop, too, with great art up on the walls.

I absolutely love the ice cream here! Creative flavors, with just the right amount of creaminess/sweetness/flavors/etc. My favorite was lemon poppyseed and whatever fig options they have. The branch of this store on the square has more flavors, but the two stores have different options available.

Great ice cream, service ehhh... We have been here several times over the last two years, during the busy times of year and the not so busy time of year. Each time we have visited the service has been "uninspired." Not rude, just seemingly like we are a bother to them. If the ice cream wasn't so good, I would recommend going somewhere else where your business was appreciated. But the ice cream is good with a good selection of original flavors.

I'm from the land of Ben &Jerry's so I know when I find good ice cream but this ice cream is not good it is great. It offers revolving flavors that are truly artisan in nature. They also feature the standards for those without a taste for adventure. The chocolate wasabi and the mexican chocolate were just a couple of the delicious flavors I ventured to try. The salted caramel is also one worth the price tag. Now many may be concerned about the price but when you eat ice cream in VT you come to expect a high end price for a high end dairy product. So don't cheap out, treat yourselves and live dangerously.
